ChatOps-style incident response
Mattermost is useful when responders already coordinate in team channels. IncidentRelay sends normalized alert context so the team can see severity, title, source, route, service and current status.
Recommended routing pattern
Create separate routes for high-priority production alerts and routine informational alerts. Attach urgent routes to a focused Mattermost channel and reserve broad channels for lower-severity visibility.

If a test message works but real alerts do not arrive, check route matching, route-channel binding, severity filters, silences and whether the alert was routed to the expected team.
